UAVs are becoming increasingly relevant in the agriculture sector. While it will take hours to survey a farm on the ground, the use of UAVs could reduce the pain-staking task to just a few minutes, by providing an aerial view of the farm.It has been tested and confirmed that a single UAV could fly over an acre of farmland and gather all the required data within five minutes. They can spot areas of low-nitrogen level and monitor growth of plants in a specific area. Plant health, farm destruction, encroachment and a whole lot of other uses could be derived from the use of UAVs.
